Please read our information section before scrolling down to Purchase a song package. We strongly advise you to read everything to understand how our service functions. If you have further questions, open a ticket on Discord, and we'll try to help.
All songs are copyright-free, meaning you can use them however you like, upload them to YouTube or Spotify, or use them for private and business purposes. When songsellers submit their music, they digitally sign a signbox and check five boxes confirming they transfer ownership and copyright to us, waiving all rights to the music they sell. This creates what is known as an "empty escrow," meaning the tracks legally belong to no one until purchased. Once you buy the tracks from us, we strongly recommend registering them with Songtrust, BMI, or any other music rights organization. Even uploading the track to a DSP (Digital Service Provider) is enough. It belongs to you once the track goes live on Spotify via your distributor. You can re-upload the track if you ever receive a takedown (e.g., due to artificial streaming or a false copyright claim). It still belongs to you.
Since the launch of Colosounds 2.0, where we began selling real songs, we've occasionally received support tickets from customers on Discord explaining that, after months of having their purchased tracks live on Spotify, they received a copyright claim from the so-called "real owner" of the track, album, or EP. As a result, their distributor may take down the track. While this rarely happens, it can still occur for a small percentage of customers at any time. As mentioned earlier, sellers must waive their rights and confirm, by checking five boxes, that they are not allowed to upload or use the sold tracks anywhere online or for any commercial purpose after selling them. Unfortunately, some artists ignore this agreement, even months or years later, and attempt to reclaim ownership, despite having been legally paid and having relinquished their rights. In such cases, we can only offer a replacement (up to one year from the date of purchase, as part of our guarantee). As for the artists who sold us the tracks, their account gets blocked immediately, and if the sale occurred within the past 180 days, we attempt to charge back the amount we paid to them. Now, why do some artists do this? Most likely, they completely forget about the waiver, the digital signature, or the checkboxes, similar to people skipping through software installation agreements or terms of service. In other cases, they might come across their old track online (e.g., on Spotify), notice it has gained a decent number of streams, and regret selling it for just a few dollars, leading them to try and reclaim it.
As explained, this happens very rarely. Only a few clients out of the many hundreds we've served over the years have reported such incidents. However, we want to address this upfront. According to our guarantee, you have 365 days from the date of purchase to report such a case. Please note that we store all purchase details, including the song package identifier, which allows us to easily trace the track, even if you used a different artist or release name when submitting it to a DSP. The track remains fingerprinted both through our software and digitally by the distributor. If you report such an incident, we will first verify whether it actually occurred. This includes requesting a screenshot from your distributor showing the takedown and the claimant's contact details (email). This information will remain confidential and never be shared with any third party or made public.
With over 15 years of music production and industry experience, we carefully curate the type of songs we offer in our shop. We do not support, and never plan to work with, artificially generated tracks, as we believe they are harmful to the industry. DSPs and distributors have already begun rejecting such content. After years of misuse and abuse across DSPs and distribution platforms, stricter rules have been implemented. However, this is not a concern for us, as we only deal with real, high-quality music. That said, it’s still possible for a distributor to reject a release, even if you're using tracks from Colosounds. We can assure you that this would not be due to copyright issues, but rather due to editorial discretion (e.g., they don’t like the track or genre), or due to something that appears suspicious in the release process.
Our tracks are safe for use with any distributor, even invite-only distribution services, and they get accepted everywhere. Distributors will not suspect anything since we provide pre-packaged song bundles with properly prepared artwork, metadata, and audio files. Everything is set up for you in advance, so all you need to do is enter the details into the upload form as provided, upload the artwork and audio files, and you're done. If there's ever an issue, feel free to reach out to us.
All our song packages include a minimum of 5 tracks. These can be from a single artist or multiple artists, and may contain several singles along with one EP. At this time, we do not offer full albums (eight or more tracks from a single artist in one package). Once the songs pass our quality control check (meaning they are standard tracks and not poorly recorded) we inspect them for silence and technical errors. After that, they go through our custom-built software, which masters the audio, sets all levels, and balances the tracks for a consistent and professional sound.
We currently offer a variety of genres in-house, including several electronic styles, as well as a strong focus on pop, rock, and hip-hop, depending on availability and volume. At this time, it is not possible to choose specific genres.
We only accept cryptocurrency payments. PayPal, credit cards, or any other payment methods are not accepted and are not planned for the future, mainly due to chargebacks and privacy concerns. We accept all major cryptocurrencies. All sales are final, and we do not offer refunds. However, if there is an issue with the songs you received, please contact us and we will assist you further.
